Whilst we were unable to get to Rochdale Sacred Heart Academy ("RSH") to personally deliver the awards, that did not mean that they missed out as winners were still selected and prizes delivered. Read on to find out who the lucky winners were...
ROCHDALE SACRED HEART CLASS OF 2018
The winners for each award category were selected following careful deliberation by Rochdale Sacred Heart Academy Manager Mike Holt and Tutor Anthony Curran.
STUDENT OF THE YEAR (YEAR 1):
Liam was selected on account of his excellent attitude throughout the course of the academic year, Mike and Anthony have found him to be a dedicated and enthusiastic student who applies himself fully to both the practical and theoretical aspects of the course. willingness to help his fellow students was also commented upon- a great show of teamwork which is important not only in a sporting sense but also for many other professions as an admirable quality. Outside of the academy Liam has also set up his own Goal Keeping enterprise where he delivers goal keeping sessions to local youth groups in the area.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR (2ND YEAR):
Liam was selected as student of the year as he committed himself to achieving his full potential in his final year on programme at RSH - and he did in fact achieve above his predicted grade for Level 2 Diploma in Leadership Through Sport. attitude impressed over the year and his improvement was significant enough for him to merit winning student of the year for his year group.
Liam has now completed his time at the academy and we would like to wish him the very best of luck for the future!
CERTIFICATE FOR OUTSTANDING EFFORT (1ST YEAR):
David was selected to win this award as he has been consistent throughout the year in achieving a high standard of work and showed great enthusiasm and commitment in all of his lessons. David has excelled in achieving his target grades and he is looking forward to his final year beginning in September where he can continue to prepare himself for his future beyond the academy.
CERTIFICATE FOR OUTSTANDING EFFORT (2ND YEAR):
Jordan received this award as a result of the excellent progression which he has shown throughout the year; both academically - in terms of achieving his target grades and meeting deadlines for his assignments; and also personally in terms of his development.
