Level 2 Multi-Skills: Part Two- Practical Assessments
Posted on 5th March 2018 at 15:58
Following on from our last blog post, February's delivery of the Level 2 Multi-Skills course concluded with every learner completing practical assessments...
The successful planning, execution and delivery of how each learner would deliver a successful Multi-Skills session under the observation of one of our qualified assessors is a requirement of the course- only those who pass this assessment can receive the Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport.
A walk-through of the assessment day for this group provides a typical review of how we traditionally deliver the culmination of this course;
To begin the day learners briefly recap the modules delivered in prior sessions in order to ensure that everybody fully comprehends and understands all of the theoretical aspects of the course, the group will discuss these and the tutor will provide any extra insights or if any learners have struggled with a particular element, it is reviewed again in further detail. This ensures all learners are fully prepared to begin planning their own Multi-Skills session and can draw on these theoretical points in order to maximise their session delivery and eventual assessment mark.
The afternoon session is dedicated to individual practical assessments, each learner is allocated a 30-40 minute time slot to deliver their Multi-Skills session, all other learners are involved in this as participants to give the session authenticity and bring to life how it would be delivered in reality to a group of children. All participants on this course threw themselves into this and a lot of fun was had by all...as is evidenced by the images below!
With games including; balloons, boxing, battle ship, dance and even a Christmas themed game..
We had a very creative and lively group who came up with some great and original sessions and we are very pleased to announce that this cohort had a
100% PASS RATE!!!
Massive congratulations to all participants on their successful completion of the course, our tutor responsible for delivering and assessing this course said they were a "fantastic group- loved every second of it!". In turn we also have a selection of learner statements offering feedback on the course:
“I Thoroughly enjoyed the course- I learnt a lot of new coaching skills and ideas”
“The tutor was very engaging and enthusiastic- wish more tutors had the same personality!”
“Excellent mix of practical and theory”
